The ' Terai' is a fertile lowland in the south of Nepal near the Indian border. Many years ago National Parks such as the famous ROYAL CHITWAN and ROYAL BARDIA were established to preserve the unique wildlife ( e.g. tigers, rhinos and crocodiles) of the tropical forests and wide rivers.
JUNGLE ACTIVITIES:
On a JUNGLE SAFARI wild animals in their natural habitat can be viewedeither from the back of an elephant or from a jeep. The forests and rivers may be explored by CANOE or a JUNGLE WALK with an experienced guide. A BIRDWATCHING - Trip and a visit to a THARU VILLAGE will complete the programme.
